"Softly and tenderly Jesus is calling--calling for you and for me" --William L. Thompson
In This Edition:
Advent This Sunday
Join us as we begin our worship series, “Coming Home for Christmas.” As part of this service (and every Sunday during the Advent season), members of the congregation are invited to bring an ornament from home to help decorate our “family Christmas Tree” at the front of the sanctuary, and to share the story behind the ornament as well.

Centuries ago, Augustine told the tale of everyone's heart: "You, O God, have made us for yourself, and our heart is restless until it rests in you." This natural longing for the heart's true home is especially piqued during this wonderful season of joy: so we hear the invitation of God, calling softly and tenderly: “Come home! Come home! All who are weary come home!”
Christmas Eve Service will be held at 5:00 p.m.
Union “Sings”
Join us for an afternoon of caroling on Sunday, December 14th. We visit members and friends of our church to spread Christmas cheer! All singing skill levels welcome.
We will meet up at 1:45pm. Place to be determined.
Donated treats are appreciated as well since we leave behind a plate of goodies.
Please let Mike Keimig, Nancy Farris or Laurie Kerns know if you are interested.
Giving Tree Donations
Sunday December 7 is the last Sunday to bring in donations for our “Giving Tree,” which will go to support Gifts for Kids, a local organization helping low-income families in our community. You can take one of the ornaments from the “Giving Tree” located in the sanctuary this Sunday and return it with an unwrapped gift donation, or click here to order a gift online to be donated.
In addition to gifts, Gifts for Kids is collecting wrapping paper, both new and partially used rolls (in good condition).

Food Pantry Needs
The Walpole Community Food Pantry is a 501c3 that operates entirely from donations and grants. In light of the current precarious state of SNAP benefits, we will collect any of the following food items this month.
The Food Pantry will be collecting paper products for the month of November.
The Walpole Community Food Pantry and our church have a great partnership. They use our parking lot every Wednesday from 2-3 as a pickup location.
