Worship in the Park This Sunday
The weather forecast looks beautiful for Sunday morning, so come join us in the park! Pastor Shepherd returns to the pulpit to share the 3rd and final sermon in his series, “Prophetic Promises;” this week’s topic is “God’s Call.”
This Sunday will also mark 7 years of ministry for Pastor Shepherd at Union!

Operation Clean-Up This Saturday Morning
Let’s show our neighbors that we are “WITH YOU” this Saturday morning by joining in a litter pickup! Supplies like gloves and trash bags are being distributed in the parking lot behind Jimmie’s pizza starting at 9:30 AM. Concerts on the Common
This week’s chance to BE WITH our neighbors is a free concert at Stone Field! Bring your folding chair, wear your “Church by the Park” T-Shirt and enjoy the music with our friends and neighbors from 6-8 on Tuesday, July 14.

Chuckle from Nancy Farris
I have been enjoying the book Joyful Anyway which was given to me on Children's Day.
It's an easy read with some thought-provoking situations and some helpful tips. One of my favorite quotes
so far is this:
A little boy is speaking to his mother sleepily early one morning-
"Mom," he says, "do you think you really felt prepared for parenthood?" Before she can reply,
he adds, "And could I have a Band-Aid?"
Holding in Prayer
This week, as a community of faith we pray:
for Vir’s father, who is undergoing cancer treatment, and for Vir and Sahana as they travel to India
for Pam, who is suffering from Lyme Disease
for Nikki, who is navigating issues with a visa during the late stages of her pregnancy
for Justin, as he begins a new job, and for traveling mercies for the commute to and from Vermont
for August, a boy who is suffering from cystic fibrosis and waiting for a transplant
for Brenda McClure and Kathy Sheehan, who passed away after lengthy battles with ALS and Cancer, their families, and all who mourn
for the Jones Family, particularly for his two children, as they mourn the death of Dave
for the people of Lebanon
for Nancy’s cousin Jim, and his brother-in-law Fred
for Officer Hart, his family, and the Walpole community who mourn the death of Rebel, the police’s community service dog.
for Jack Fowler, who is dying of cancer, and for his family
for Fred Kerle, Chris W’s dad, as he continues to recover from an illness
for Bill, Judy’s friend, who has entered hospice care
for Janet, who is facing health challenges
for Mary's friend Linda, as she mourns the death of her husband Harry
for Pam's nephew Michael
for Helene, who is entering hospice
for Jim's mother Carol and his brother Mike
