Neighbors In Need
Outreach is asking for donations to support the United Church of Christ offering for Neighbors in Need. This offering supports ministries of justice and compassion. A grant from NIN provided educational opportunities for children in underserved communities in Missouri. These children were able to participate in out-of-school programming in STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics). Closer to home, a grant from NIN has supported City Mission Boston’s Public Voice Project. This is a program that goes out into the community to share stores about the issues involved with housing instability. These are just a couple of examples. Please donate during worship on Sunday, September 27th or by mailing a check to the office. Please put NIN on the memo line. Thank you.
Food Pantry Needs
The Food Pantry is continuing to distribute food to residents in our parking lot as well as pick up our donations from our UCC grocery cart.
They love paper product donations so for the next couple of months, we will collect toilet paper.
Holding in Prayer
This week, as a community of faith, we pray…
Healing prayers for Martha Kerns, recovering from a broken pelvis.
Lew’s friend, Joe, as he prepares for surgery.
Those grieving Judy’s friend, Bill Volk, who has passed away.
Kerry’s friend, Marci, who lost her husband suddenly.
Joy for Stephen Bemko getting his first interception at his football game after the fair
A joy of thanks for all who helped with the Apple Harvest Fair.
And traveling mercies for Pam cutler as she drives to upstate New York.
